Leash bonus from Marvel quest is quite broken

So completing the ancient alien remains marvel quest which allows every unit to leash aliens, including colossal (unlike the tech-locked version). The Quest itself is absolutely trivial (two patrol boats all it takes) and visible coasts on landing also helps.

So it's barely turn 70 and I have 3 kraken, 2 siege worms a Makara and hordes of dragons/rippers/land bugs. Ultrasonic fence doesn't seem to be working for my sea capital so it was just constantly free stuff every couple of turns.
 
I believe the devs have said this is a bug they're working on. You should still need the extra tech to leash colossals.

Yep. The AI surprised me that it was smart enough to utilize this too. I saw the PAC crush the NSA somewhat early on in a game earlier. I sent a boat over to the taken cities to check if she was heading my way next and I found 2 PAC krakens among her otherwise small army. It was hilarious honestly. Luckily I buddied up with her that game and watched her flatten a few other civs while I quietly went for Emancipation victory. :mischief:

Honestly seeing that kraken sitting by the decimated Deepcastle was so amazing I almost hope they don't fix it.
 
Hell the free exploration/army alone is more than worth it, although I do hesitate a little to put XP on my aliens when ships that can actually use it could be getting it, but ultimately a free army is a free army.
