who has the better

1.overall sound
2.vocalist
3.guitarist
4.drummer
5.bass player
6.overall image
7.album (specify)

led zeppelin easlily.

1. they can go from soft easy listening to hard rock in one song (stairway to heaven)
2. Robert plant is great, even though his voice is a little high..
3. Jimmy page is great he can be compared to jimi hendrix easy
4. John bonham who was recomended by plant he was just a great drummer
5. John Paul Jones was also a keyboard player but he is probably the most underrated player in zeppelin, but nontheless a great bassist
6. They played everything! And they also appealed to everyone around the world and lasted through time, sure sabbath did well but ask anyone who knows about them, the first thing that will come to mind will be ozzy, then maybe iron man or war pigs...
7. Led zeppelin 4 (the untitled album). great songs on there

1. Led Zeppelin
2. Led Zeppelin (Who else can screech like Robert Plant?)
3. Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page, need I say anything else.)
4. Led Zeppelin (John Bonham, one of the greatest drummers of all time IMO.)
5. Led Zeppelin (John Paul Jones, a very underrated bassist, and member of the band.)
6. Led Zeppelin
7. Led Zeppelin III or IV (I can't choose between them)

So, I guess this means I think Led Zeppelin is the better of the two. :)

i love how JPJ also plays clavinet extremely well Trampled Underfoot is a great showcase of this as is Custard Pie, but my favorite Zep song is The Rover

I have an odd taste in music despite whatever nature at heart I possess. Black Sabbath.

tough choice, i like the music of both a lot.

1. led zep were a bit more diverse than sabbath.
2. robert plant's singing, better than ozzys. but ronnie james dio's singing in sabbath beats robert plant IMO.
3. tony iommi.
4. john bonham
5. john paul jones
6. led zeppelin. they wrote the book on sex, drugs and rock and roll lifestyle. larger than life image. didn't change members throughout their time. and when bonham died, they ended the band. Respect them for that.. kept their legacy intact.
sabbath/tony iommi made too many changes in members. if he had stopped the sabbath name with ozzy, changed band name with dio, and again with tony martin, then sabbath's legacy would have been bigger i think.
7. Led zep 4 (zoso). most complete album. all killers, no fillers.

Led Zeppelin is easily the best. Black Sabbath is great too, but Led Zeppelin is.. well Led Zeppelin.

Plant is a good singer? Thats news to me, anybody could screech lyrics into a mic like that. I prefer Black Sabbath, but Im tired of both of them. How many decades can you listen to the same songs without tiring of them?

Yeah, these guys are old hat. They're good for maintaining a level of coolness through your high school days, but after a few years you've heard all their tricks.

I'm even tired of the Stones these days. Honestly, if you say that "classic rock" is your favorite music, blues is what you truly like, you probably just don't know it yet. That's the way it was with me, anyway. I've long since traded my Zeppelin for SRV and Albert King.

I do think Plant was a pretty good singer, though.

Plant: Shake for me girl!

Me: (snore)

Plant: I wanna be your backdoor man!

Me: (snore)

Plant: Keep it coolin' baby!

Me: (snore)

I agree, but would have to say the much better of the two :D .

Awesome snoring riffage, brotha. That's like Al Bundy playing the ham sandwich!

I would not compare them.

Both bands contributed a huge amount to rock and roll.

I prefer Ronnie James Dio anyhoo!

:)

I dunno. I love them both.
