But like this, all you will get is hostility.

Killer was banned for two reasons, the first was, he accused me of misusing my authority (when I had banned or warned nobody), and instead of discussing it privately, he chose to say "now I will report you to Thunderfall", which is a THREAT.

How many of you would permit a poster to threaten you?

Not many, I'm sure.

Alcibiaties, you are more than welcome to monitor CDG if you wish.

But I can assure you that last year's events are history, and no bad blood remains.

The TRT is happy in it's new site and has no problem with the CFC.

As an Admin on CDG it is my job to make sure no nastiness like this exists between our sites.

I think you have misunderstood me at least, as this simply not true. I am not trying to get around anything or play any games, I was following what is written in the site rules, the same rules linked by you and every other mod for every mod action.

I have the upmost respect for you as a mod (and indeed all mods), but if I think a mod has done something wrong and PM them, will they not just PM me back saying I am wrong? What then? Can I then go to TF?

Note that I am still asking for clarification on the rules, and will not post anything about the incident here unless I am explictly told I can do so.

I have not PM'd you this, as the site rules are unclear, and I am sure many people will want clarification on this sensitive issue.

BTW, AoA, Thunderfall is the admin of the site, not you. A poster has every right to question your athourity, in private that is. You cannot ban someone for privately contacting your ADMIN.

I think you should just unban those that were banned because they only did whatever the hell they did out of sheer dis-respect for you. It isn't good as a mod if you are not respected.

EXACTLY.

That way, you are protected as a poster, as you can show him PROOF that your enquiry was ignored, and the moderator can show him PROOF that they tried to resolve the situation.

As Curt said AoA, what is past is past. Everyone is quite aware that BOTH sites monitor each each very closely indeed. I can only speak for CDG of course but on our part it is mostly to ensure that bad blood does not re-emerge between us. Despite past disagreements we are not enemies, just two sites trying to provide a service to the civ community. We both have different rules and different ways of dealing with issues but one of our highest priorities has been to show to the rest of the community that we are a part of the group, not a renegade bunch of idiots trying to throw a spanner in the works.

This is why CDG and CFC have established communications channels for dealing with issues that arise. If you feel at any time that our name is being used to try and circumnavigate your rules, please feel free to contact any of us directly through PM or IM and we will do what we can to help rectify the situation.
