Lethal bombard and unique units

Well I have discovered to my horror that even planes in the latest version of RTW can destroy other units through striking and bombarding. Playing as Nazi Germany this meant I could literally knock out entire garrisons in French and British cities with enormous numbers of Fockers and then capture the cities using skeletal forces!

I think lethal bombardment is too strong.

Other points: it really annoys me when nations that can build superior units, especially Russia, Nazi Germany and Britain, build tons and tons of anti-tank and anti-air guns, or lots of paratroopers instead of infantrymen. :(

Also, because this mod has been out for over a year I take it that the remaining units which do not have their specific graphics are not going to get any?

I think the size of the download file should be reduced by taking out the custom leaderheads - they are not good at all (not even Hitler is that good) and just add to the massive download size.

Finally, Dale if you could ever work on the AI for each specific nation to improve tactics and performance, get unique graphics for the remaining units, and optimize/improve the code overall, and release it as a paid-for deluxe version of the mod, I would easily pay anything up to $20 to download it. I'm sure hundreds if not thousands of others would too.

I hate the lethal bombard. There were 7 troops garrisoned in my city, and Japan moves 1 paratrooper outside of my city. I thought that it wasn't very threatening, so I ended the turn. However, next turn I find my 7 (!) troops gone by the bombs and the single paratrooper standing on my capital.

Removing the custom leaderheads would save about 40 meg on download size. Removing the movies would save about 200 meg on download size though.

You should remove both the leaderheads and movies and offer them as a separate download for anyone who wants them.
 
Hi Dale. I have been playing a game through on autoplay on Prince level as Ireland and noticed a few things, and was wondering if you might be able to address them. The most glaring glitch in AI strategy I feel is the lack of fighters and bombers that Britain builds. (I also feel that it doesn't build enough/take good enough care of its fleet.) For some reason Britain seems consistently to be very feeble and easy enough for Nazi Germany to invade. I think the British AI should prioritize fighters and bombers and not just use them on interception missions. It should be bombing German cities and productive tiles. This would address the second major strategic glitch which is that the Soviet Union simply cannot compete militarily against Finland, Germany, and Italy unless it is played by a human.

Some other small 'glitches' like America preferring to invade North Africa rather than liberate Europe and Nazi Germany ignoring Norway, or Nazi Germany not amassing its troops on the Eastern Front in time, I can live with, but at the moment it seems like the odds are heavily in Germany's favour.
