Haha, I was shouting at my computer for that. I'm glad you looked it up. Cool fact about the banana, I didn't know that.
 
Nice play through. I was shouting at the screen when I saw the Iroquios settler moving in, that you should say to him "don't settle near me!".

Due to play bieng rubbish and not getting my pre order to me this is whats keeping me going.

On the banana front the previously mass cultivated varity, Gros Michel, was whiped out for the reasons you mentioned. Unfortunatly due to habitat loss wild banana varities are very rare so that creating new banana types is much harder.

This mono culture is also responsible for many of the "pests" we see in modern agricultre and the decrease in biodiversity that is vital to life in our ever changing world.

I played last night...with my microphone disabled. :(

Luckily, I kept my original save and am just about to replay that session. Will try to get it uploaded tomorrow morning.

Yeah, that makes me really sad. Apparently they were tastier than the current Cavendish variety. :(
 
Out of interest what are you using to record the video and the voice? I'm totally unknowledgeable[sp] about this. Can fraps do this?

Quill noted on YouTube that he would have to reload 13.

Edit: Apparently 18 posted after 19 and 20, because now it is showing...

you lost the sound when you turnd you speakers to stop echo (btw there was no echo) off early on in the last session.

The game it’s been great to watch, as for tactics I would build Mass stadiums (but in coin rich place build backs and such to pay for stadiums). Then build tanks as they seem like they could just steam role over everything in the new world, then in your next war with Darius try to get the Germans on your side (you have lots of excess luxuries to bribe them with) destroy Darius, make the Germans do most of the work, then stab the Krauts in the back with nukes on their capital and run a tank or to in to finish them off :)
