No graeme, thats not what I was talking about....I'm talking about the people who use such threads as grounds for other, deeply routed agendas.
These sort of threads are breeding grounds for flaming and insults. Look at the OT......atleast every other thread is about war or terrorism. It's just so f*cking boring to come to the OT and see threads like this day after day.

Actually a very old one. One long settled in international law and the law of warfare, at least as to what civilian casualties and intetetional targeting of civilians is lawful or unlawful. If you has any illusian that what is said here will change such law, I suugust you begin your personnal caimpaing to obtain the noble peace prize. The only real benefit of these dicussions here is small increments of education and exposure to other veiwpoints. Very little opinion will change by what is said and red here, and no real world changes will come of it. Those effect come from completely different venues of discourse. These internet discussion forums, because of annonimity and lack of responsible, are not even very good training for real world debate.

I am glad we have started carpetbombing Taliban front lines today. I think people here should understand that the U.S., Britain, and her allies are now at War with the Taliban regime, and every bit of advanced weaponary must be used to be victorious. While I think a great deal of the bombing is unnecessary now (ie. bombing caves), military targets such as the Taliban front line are legitimate targets, and should be struck with the full force of the British and U.S. forces.

There are 1000 or more al-Quaida fighters in the Taliban army, so I dont feel real bad about todays developements.
Actualy, I have to be honest about something. Watching the maelstrom we are unleashing on them from the air gives me a sick sense of satisfaction. I know we shouldnt revel in human destruction, but damn, its about time.
For the people in the World Trade Center Towers, The Pentagon, the 4 hijacked airplanes, the USS Cole, and the US Embassies in Africa;
You reap what you sow, and having sowed the seeds of hatred, violence and murder, now they shall reap the wrath of the United Staes and all its allies, and all their might.
