No it wasn't. It was one of the worst Alternative Rock albums of recent years.

If you believe that Hybrid Theory was one of the best Alternative Rock Almbums of recent years, then you don't listen to enough Alternative Rock.

In comparison to some of the other Mainstream-Alternative bands like Papa Roach, etc, they're probably quite good. In comparison to some of the bands that actually make an effort, no they aren't.

I'll agree with Hamlet on this. By no means was Hybrid Theory a good album.

In my opinion the lyrics were extremely dull and uninventive, Korn had been saying the same thing for the last 8 years!! The guitar riffs were plodding and easy, very uncreative... Finally the Rapping and the turn-tables just go to prove that Linkin' Park are intent on tagging along with the new hip-hop craze.

I have no problem if people want to listen to Linkin' Park and I can understand why people would like them, but please don't try and claim that they have made one of the best alt.rock albums of the past couple of years!!

meh well, i listened to it for ages. Sure I'm sick of it now, and flinch at the thought of playing it again, but at the time i loved it. Maybe i could reconsider now . It doesn't have any outstanding songs on it, but i liked the album in general. And by alternative, i mean bands classed in the "alternative" bracket. They obviously aren't very original. Has anyone heard the new Vines album? I want to know if its good enough to fork out cash for. It got great reviews, but hey, so did spider-man.
