Linux Distribution Chooser

Took the test. It gave me Kubuntu. Complete waste of time
Indeed a waste of time. Told me that any distro would work for me ( Fedora, Debian, OpenSuse, in essence, any major one).

Meh. It's really designed for the Linux noob, who doesn't know what is out there, and what the differences are.

I took it, just for grins.

100% OpenSUSE: no way. I will not install anything that is based on Novell/Suse.
100% Fedora: Maybe. Fedora is a little more "cutting edge" than I like - tends to break too easily, IMO.
95% PCLinuxOS (May not be suitable because your computer may be too slow):  That's what I'm running now!
95% Mandriva (May not be suitable because your computer may be too slow): That's my usual 2nd choice distro (and works great on my system).

100% MEPIS (Never heard of it)
Mandriva (Might try sometime)
OpenSuSE (Never used)
Kubuntu (My current distro)
PCLinuxOS (My favorite, but not compatible with my current wireless network card, so useless atm).
Fedora (Too large download)

95% Ubuntu (meh)
Linux Mint (never heard of)
Debian (apparently quite complicated)

I guess it's more for the person who's overwhelmed by the huge amounts of distros and needs an idea which direction to go in...

I dunno! It has a list of them maybe?

Maybe all of them would suit that person, at least based on the criteria covered by the questions.

Linus Torvalds was once asked which distro he used and he said (to paraphrase) that it didn't much matter as they all did the same things in the end.

So I guess it's just we lesser mortals that need a certain distro

One thing though, I suspect that they might be shown in a way that unduly biases the one that the site programmer happened to type first in the list.... so at least consider all the presented options.
