Linux or Wine

I've alwaysl loved civ and now i use linux would like to see the best game ever brought out for linux. Or at the very least test it in wine and make it as compatible as possible.

I was for a moment unsure why it would be a choice between an operating system or an alcoholic beverage...

But yeah, it would be nice to get more games on linux. Then I might even buy it.

Civ3 works reasonably well in Cedega/WineX, but you need the "paid for" version to get the proprietary libraries they use.

I would *very* much love to have Civ4 available in a native Linux version, but considering the poor support even for Mac OS X with Civ3, I fear that it will not happen.

i was able to get civ3 working with cedega but not conquests... yet

Conquests works fine in Cedega 4.2.1 - the "paid for" version. The proprietary libraries that you don't get with the CVS version are very helpful.
