List of City Names

I know it's not my job, but is it silly my remarque ? :
it could be interesting of taking into considaration the initial of our cities. If we give to each city a different inital, then it's easy for using the "Goto" fonction...

if some of U like Alsace and his plains and montains, names usualy used here are :
Hipsheim, Zaamatten, Ingouxwiller, Wirh

and what about writing the name of our capital in CAPITAL LETTERS ?

I hope that we won't be using the GoTo function for anything other than working out where to build the road link between our cities for the best trade boost. I don't trust it at all and it is rubbish at trying to find its way around corners. Even if the whole of our continent was railroaded then I doubt you could use GoTo to move between Civvium and Marl Downs. It would just get stuck by RC and go no further. In fact, I'd like to be able to have a stack movement like in Civ 3. I get a bit sick of moving 15 engineers in a big pile after they've grasslanded the swamp, roaded it and farmed.
I do like the idea of capitalising the capital. :D It wouldn't add much to the game to be honest, but would help any visiting noobs work out our triumphant march across the provinces.

We soon come to the question of naming protocol.

Which names have priority?
Current Government, advisor's who have already named one city?
Past Deputies, always welcome as additional choices?
Odd names proposed above: Danderfluff, Hogwarts, Morfa Nefyn, Hipsheim et al? Princess Lucy?

My apology to our fine duke: Ebor or Eboracum, your choice. You could have a fine new Chryshe city, with either of these names. Shall I submit both for popular choice at the next opportunity?

I like Ebor ;
but it would be better for an coastal city (sound like 'harbour').

Hipsheim is a smalll real village, founded in 1202 by a Scott Prince named Ludan. We commemorated last month the 800th year of the church. It was crush in 1366 by Barbs.

The answer to this conundrum is simple: our monarch of the moment has the right to award names as s/he sees fit, preferably from the choice given above.
I'd like to see less bureaucracy with regard to naming our cities and allow the allow the ruler to exercise royal privilege. As long as the ruler doesn't just name cities on a whim each turn and doesn't change any of the existing city names then I reckon they should be given free rein. I can put up with a few cities named after whatever the ruler was watching on TV before they played. :)

In fact, I'm tempted to be as whimsical as I warned against before, and insist that the city named after me be simply the commodities it demands and supplies all stuck together. :D

Perhaps not please (IMHO -- My disclaimer). This is just going to generate confusion. And let's not even consider the concept of changing the city names when the suppy and demand changes.

We live in a complex world, let's not make even more so. :)

The list of city names available is very very short so I urge the new Government to submit some more names! The laboratories at the new Ministry of Science have come up with "Enyaj"!

How about Routskilde for the relocated site captured from the vikings??
