List of spells

With the wiki down for some time now, is there a place with a reasonably up-to-date list of spells and mana uses?

I see this, but, correct me if I am wrong, I don't think that that is close to current.

Actually, my problems with the civilopedia are my reason for posting. For example, resources==>fire mana only give the level one spell, and it is not accurate (it says scorch rather than blaze). Blaze is not listed at all under promotions, although it is under spells and abilities. I am assuming that this is not the only case -- it is just the one I am aware of, since I habitually build fire mana.

I don't mean this as a criticism -- this is an incredible mod, and I am sure that keeping the civilopedia up to date is an overwhelming task. However, I was trying to test out things that I don't usually do in the game, and I was hoping that it would be possible to track down an updated list of spells somewhere.

check the resources for the mana and mana effects, not for the spells, i.e. check Life mana to see what effects it has, as per the following screenshot:



for spells, check the promotions, i.e. mouse over Air1 to see what spells that grants, mouse over Air2 to see what it grants for sorcery and summoning, as per the following screenshot:



these are up to date, i think they show what is actually true, so if it changes, these change too, you'll notice fire1 shows the proper spell here.

what would be nice is if mana had a separate category for it as far as resources go, and if mana spell level promotions had their own category as well.

Ahh, the colour coding for saying only something can use some kind of magic, is wrong...

It is only the divine spells that are limited to religion.....

And even then you can still keep your priests from an old religion.

The spells do link to the promotions, you just have to get used to the sometimes odd setup of the Pedia. There is a spot (I think on the left in the middle?) where it lists what is required for it. Should show Channeling 1, Sorcery, Summoning or Divine + Spell Sphere. Click (or right click?) on the Spell Sphere to move to the promotion for that sphere.

Unless you meant link to a promotion which it grants via spell, in which case I agree completely (or at least show the information of what that promotion does for a unit within the spell data somewhere).

That's what I meant.

I keep going between the promotion and spells and abilities. And as sureshot said. Would be nice if the spelltype promotions had it's own list.

you are missing air 3 sorcery : lightning chain and summoning : air elemental ??
and as said by s/o, there are no restriction to any sorcery or summoning spell.

Made a chart too. Maybe someone finds it useful as long as Grey Fox's great pdf manual isn't documenting spells. The civilopedia is a pain if you try to get an overview. An ingame overview similar to the tech tree would be nice, but I sadly don't have time atm to make it myself.

I'd ask for Creation, Metamagic, Force and Ice to be added just to get in all 21 spheres... but that's probably too much blank space and detracts from a VERY nice format.

Added Dimensional Mana and borrowed some symbols from the game to make the chart more fun to look at.

It's not entirely useless. Saved my casters a few times already.

Acer ... hmmm, I suppose an acer tree planting cultist is not much to worry about, is it.

Fixed the Azer spelling and a few other things I missed before uploading and updated my last post with version 1.1.2 of the chart.
