I have generally put myself in a position where I play every other game, to space things out and to ensure Lee doesn't get too sick of me. I am disappointed to hear that after LK131, the series will most likely move on to BtS. I would participate in LK131, but I'm in enough cultural games and I wouldn't want to deny sunrise the chance to play. I'll back into the shadows as a lurker until I get the chance to purchase BtS. Feel free to grab my spot if you want Kodii - I don't really need any more Civ committments, I just wanted LK to know he had a player if he needed it to be able to start the game. Hopefully some other new brave sole will step into the land of cultural conquest and join the team.

I saw your post in game registration thread, and would be interested in the xenophobic variant iff it is in vanilla. I don't have warlords, but will buy BtS and I think the same applies to quite a few people around here. Hence the current (temporary) lack of interest, perhaps?
BTW: I usually win on emperor, and sometimes on immortal.

My original plan was to start some BTS game immediately after I got the game.

However, I just found about the mess where the patches the base game and Warlords. It may take a few days after BTS is in America before I start anything to get the time to understand what is going on.

This is compounded by the fact that I have no idea WTH is going on with my laptop as something isn't right -- real performance drag recently, and got the blue screen of death this morning.

Sounds like this will be a blind leading the blind game when it comes to BTS knowledge. I spent most of last week fighting PC troubles, along with 10 hour work days. Late last night was my first try at BTS. The start is really different. Nasty little surprises like needed sailing to get river trade, and more early wonders. Played around 70 turns on a Pangaea and only met 2 or 3 other civs. You can really tell there are less early units.

I will get this started today.
