I started an AWE game of my own for practice, and the start is excellent. Ottomans, 70% continents, standard. The start has a 3 tile choke, iron nearby, perfect GL city location, cow, river, and plenty of BG by the capital, and no neighbors in sight. I have already played 50 turns though.

well, we are all waiting for it to come out. But, the rules have changed a lot I think.
It will make AW games so much tougher, no armies, no GL (or at least a very much tuned down version), no immediate 9 tile borders. It will be fun though to try all the new settings.

Guys, sorry to disappoint. However, after thinking about it more I don't want to start LK108. I may play in someone else's games, but I don't want to host another.

For me its probably for the best that I am not adding another game simply due to time.
I keep thinking about reducing the number of games I play, but it never seems to happen. Guess that means I am still finding some interest in Civ3. I will be glad when Civ4 comes out and there will be something new to play. I just hope it is as suitable for SG's as Civ3 is.

While I still have some interest, it has dropped lower.
Defiance and the headaches that come with it broke my enjoyment of runnings SGs.
