LK30 - Regent, city placement training.

1 of the northern warrior could be sent south to the SE Mountains. The busted fog in the peninsula and dispersed a camp.

:goodjob: to hotrod0823. The 3 northern cities are as good as we can do. Red dot with wheat is the best of the north.

We do have iron, but what lousy locations. The northern location is hills and tunrda. The souther location is defintely the better choice - the nearby silks is a major bonus.

Irragation by Leipzig this early in depositism? If it was heading toward Berlin / Hamburg, it could be long term planning. However, that side of the map has plenty of other choices for water. The next square should be MINED. Leipzig can be mm up to 2 shields, the question is what to build other then a worker?

The warrior on the spice near America should keep a watch for the next America settler coming our way. That WILL affect the choice of city locations.

After 5 turns, robehans should propose which city to build next. To many variables to pick ahead of time.

You must pause your turn the second a settler is BUILT and propose the city to be built.
At the point I will comment on city choice and the proposed location, and you will finish your turn

The logic on the irrigation is an extra food to get early growth and bring the mts. on for shields. :smoke: I guess so

100% :smoke:

No gain under depostism, which we still will be in for a while.

:D

My first Succession Game (even if I am late!). Thanks, I have been looking for a Regent-level SG, and I finally found this one, only for it to be already started.

I am give Nick014 another 24 hours, then he will be skipped.

I really want this game to start moving faster before people lost interest.

I am playing it now, if I were to get another settler, I am thinking of placing it on the red dot from the last map. That wheat would be great.

I don't know why you skipped me instead of just answering my question and letting me play. I told you earlier I was unable to do it on Friday. Oh well, no hard feelings

@Nick014
Sorry, I didn't realize the above post from Sep 28, 2002 was a question to me. That is why I skipped. This is the last training game I do with pausing in the middle of the turn. The format is turning out to be too difficult for me to run.

Always play the full 10 turns. We may not build perfect cities, but the wait for my comments in the middle of the turn format is NOT working.

As I stated above, the wait for commentary format is not working. I really don't feel I have done a good job with this game so far. I am switching to a standard play 10 and post commentary format. This should get the game moving faster.

The confusion over Nick014 turns is my fault, so I will wait as long as needed for him to play.
