I am wondering if there is a way to load a mod automaticly via a shortcut (By use of a command line) insted of loading the game itself, going into advance, loading the mod, and restarting Civ4.

Thanks.

Yes.

I coppied the files for my CIV and CIVW from Sid Meier's Civilizatin 4 (without the Warlord forlder) and the War forlder into folders I created.

Next I put the MOD files directly in it so files were overwritten.

Last I made shortcuts to the appropriate exe.

When you first do the shortcut the needed links and folders in "My Documents..." is made.

The drawback is that you basically are installing another game this way so if you do this to much your disk space will get crowded very fast.

Make a shortcut to the civilization or warlords .exe - open properties and change it like this (the example is for the current hof mod, but you can just change it to the name of your mod):

"...\Civ4Warlords.exe" mod= mods\HOF-2.08.003
"...\Civilization4.exe" mod= mods\HOF-1.61.010

The space between mods= and mods\ is necessary...

In this way you can even load different mods using shortcuts. The other way (if you only have one mod you want to load all the time) is to open the CivilizationIV.ini file and look for

Mod = 0

change 0 to yourModName, then the mod is loaded on every startup.
