Loading more than one mod

When I load a mod, I can't seem to be able to load another without replacing the old one. Is there any way to use multiple mods on the same game?

Only by merging the mods together first yourself. If there are no overlapping files, it's easy to just combine the directories. If there are overlapping files, you have to figure out what's new or changed in the files and mix them together yourself. Pain in the butt! There are many combo mods in the "completed Modpacks" section if you're interested.
