Loading Problem

This is weird. When I load my game or make a new game, the loading goes fine, but after it says "done", the loading screen stays there for minutes on end, reaching ten minutes from time to time. This always happens and is steadily getting worse, and paired with extreme lag and choppy music, it is getting very frustrating. Before you start asking me about anything technical, let me say that my computer is completely up to date, and have plenty of digital memory. I have tried EVERYTHING, please help. I really dont want to wait a week to order a replacement. Is there even a warranty on this game?

well...this is one of maaaanyyyy bugs in this game....and as far as I know it's very common...for instance...today I tried to load a save and it took 23 F**** minutes...and afterwards,everything vas choopy for 10-15 minutes...and,at the end the game was playable...but,by that time I was furious...hit the restart button hardest I could

Bosoxboy321..... I got the same problem......start a game ..goes through the loading procedure and then BOOM...lock-up......the only way I can get the game to play is ...restart computer...put CD in CD-rom and click play...then load a game and click on Autosave folder and click the saved file there(4000BC save) and then the game will play. This has to be a Darn BUG in the game and I hope the come out with a patch to fix this........oh yeah ..I can only play a small map also...standard I get nowhere........frustrating

fellas... i HAD the same problem as you.. just a guess... u can kill me later maybe... but do you have ati graphics cards? look heres what fixed it for me.. i downloaded the display drver.... and it works fine now.... dont get stressed... loads every time... as soon as it gets to done.. it changes to a button that says PLAY!!! AND YOUR IN!!! PLAY THE GAME!!! GET TOO IT... neways... catchas

Ya, after much research, I figured out that I simply have a crappy video card. 32MB, as a matter of fact. Reccomended sys requirements say 128MB. And half as much RAM as I should have. Hopefully I will be gewd 2 go soon. Thx everyone!!! to you guys! lol

Yeah, I have the same problem. I run the game on a laptop. What should I do to overcome this problem? I also have nvidia.

It seems that this isn't your problem, but I'd like to point out that the loading hangup can be caused by a corrupted save file. If the game crashes while autosaving, the last save will be much smaller than any other save file and will cause the game to freeze when loading. In this case, the solution is to play from the previous autosave.

Yeah, my video card is crappy too. How do you increase to 128 MB from 32 MB?

I'm computer stupid.
