Are there still guys who need a Su27? I could make one during the next time, since I have a model ready :)

Would look like this:

Oh yes please do this!!! Just because it's such a beautiful creature... I've seen it live doing the Cobra, something I'm not likely to forget ever!
:viking:

I need it ! I need it!:wavey:

If you can make two versions for it : one with greeon / brown camo for the landbase version, and one with blue /grey cammo for the naval version, so I can use it as a naval interceptor.

I may even consider to grant you a special leave from your icon duties to make this aircraft ;)

And after that... you could make a rafale so the French can have a modern aircraft.

Oh, and I think the land based version in Russia has this blueish camo too.

Oh? But it would be cool to have a way to differentiate the naval fighter from the land base one :(

Amen to that! Like that wonderful turboprop strategic bomber, the Tu-95 Bear, and that sleek naval terror Tu-22M Backfire... not to mention the other members of the Flanker family; the multi-role tandem two-seat Su-30 (exported to India) and the side-by-side two-seat strike fighter Su-34

Unfortunately not, it wasn't a regular airshow. The Ukrainian pilots were training and we "happened" to be in the neighbourhood... :D

Judging from the best pics I've seen of the Su-33/Su-27K, the carrierborne Flanker-D, the blue colours are darker and more sort of greenish than the standard Su-27 interceptor... Besides, there's a more obvious difference: the Su-27K has moving canard foreplanes to allow slower landing at higher angles of attack.

Ok, for now I´ll only make the standard Flanker.

I also think it would be better to a new unit (eg. a Rafale) rather than different versions of this one. There is also my mod which needs still work. So for the moment I can only promise to make this Su27 - if I get more free time, I can do others.....;)

Yes definetly. I posted a request thread for the flanker a long time ago and was pointed to an incomplete S-37.....

This would fill the role of a eastern bloc modern strike fighter.

whats "the cobra" ?

A nice maneuvre the Flanker is able to fly. The aicraft moves like the head of a cobra then: first the aircaft´s nose get´s extremely up, while the entire plane moves still forward on its previous flight path, hence the name. In the next phases, the nose rises more until the tail is basically "before" the nose, before the plane returns to normal flight.

see pic ;)

I saw a CF-18 do that manouver, it looks pretty incredible, especially considering it flies forward pointed up for quite a long time (which the picture doesn't show)

Regarding the Su-27: BeBro working on my favorite jet... best news in a long time!

looks pretty good...hope to see it around soon....

Things run fine now, so I hope to finish this soon (maybe this weekend)

Here´s a little preview in game size:

I can't wait!!! If you finish it this weekend there will be a place in my mod for it which will be finished soon. By the way, I worked a long time on it, but the first version will be only for the german version of PTW. So, if there are some people out there who are interested of making an english version, just let me know. I will send a post with a little preview soon. The only thing is that you should know both languages very well.
