longevity

Thanks for the graph! It shows that I did very well during my last 100 turns.:) So basically, there is still hope for my current game. Yes, I also have a Sid game going too...you know me...it's hard for me to keep any secret from you guys. This one has a domination limit is 4562 with a lot of jungles all around me and I have to fight for every square of land because the AIs are all extremely close to me too. To make a long story short, at 10AD, I'm way behide my previous 81K game and also way behide Kunnigas game. However, I'm going to continue on to see what happen. I have a theory that the higher domination limit will eventually help me to catch up. If not, I really don't mind to be on the third spot.
Wow, it is hard to keep up with your original 81k game.. I suspect because you started out on your own island and could expand uncontested so long.
In 400AD now, and my score curve is currently hoovering between yours and Kunnigas'

Kunnigas starting position wasn't so bad either! All the AIs in his game was far far away and it was an pang map...so he could just match his armies anywhere without having worry about building ships. Basically, I think it's going to be very tough to find one of those good map. In my current game, at 550 AD and I'm still about 500 points behide Kunnigas's and about 1500 points behide my previous 81K game. Here is what it's look like so far in my game... I wish I was the Sumerians because they started on a really big continent all by themselves (mostly grassland and a lot of cows too); their continent is so big that even at 550 AD, there are still over 1000 tiles unclaimed.

very interesting how different the composition of tiles is on my map than on yours..
I have:
ocean: 4015 (47 less)
sea: 1916 (90 more)
coast: 2200 (24 less)

grass: 1718 (463 less)
plains: 889 (266 more)
desert: 144 (120 more)
flood plains: 75 (69 more)

tundra: 334 (62 more)

the rest are roughly the same.. your map seems to have much higher scoring ability in the milk phase..

Moonsinger,

Looking at your CRpMapStat image I see probably the best ratio of potential grassland I have ever seen. I looked at three databases I maintain from huge milked games. Each data base has over 400 entries from MapFinder saves that were evaluated by CRpMapStat. The database adds the grassland to jungle, marsh, and .58 forest to get the potential grassland at game end. The average potential grassland for all 1200 + saves is 2460 with Deity being 2460, Emperor being 2464, and Regent being 2456. The highest potential grassland for Deity was 2783, for Emperor was 2832, and for Regent was 2814. Unless you have already cleared most of the grassland/forest already your potential is 2957. Even if you already did clear all the grassland/forest, which I doubt, your potential grassland is still 2653 which is a very good number.

This looks like an excellant candidate for a high score milk game. Good luck with this game.

I don't know...it's too early to tell...I probably will know more about it after playing for another 50 more hours. I have cleared very few jungles and marsh so far. Too busy at war against Persia, Greece and Germany (I'm sharing my home island with all three of them). So far, I'm still way behide in score...so this map may not work out in the end.
