Looking for 3d modeling help for resources

First of all, this is not my mod, I'm making this request on the behalf of cryptic who for some reason isn't able to post anything. He has a mod on Steam called Resource_Expansion_Packs that adds tons of new resources, but because he and his partner don't know very much about 3d modeling all of the resources use the existing models and look the same (for instance, Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires and Emeralds all look like the generic gems resource and all of the various spices and incences look the same). They are looking for help in making them look different.
 
I assume this is for Glacierheart and Cryptic's resource mods?

Retextures are quite easy to accomplish, which should be all that's needed for the various gems.

They'd need to make a copy of the .fxsxml, the .gr2 model, and the diffuse .dds texture (the existing specular [sref] .dds can be re-used), rename them appropriately, then they would need to recolor the diff .dds. [I'm assuming they know how to get at the base game files from the .fpk's]

The references to the .gr2 and .dds should be changed in the renamed .fxsxml, and the reference to the new .dds must be changed in the .gr2 (which requires a third party tool, either Material Maker or one of the versions of Nexus Buddy [this old version is the easiest to use for a simple texture change; this is the latest version]).

Finally, they add these 3 files to the mod [or 4 if they want to revise the sref .dds], making sure VFS is set to true.

Note that many [at least 20] resource retextures already exist (see this mod: thread here [see the attachments to posts #3 and #5 for just the art files], or on Steam).

At this point they are looking for someone interested in making the models for them.
 
At this point you'd have to ask them on Steam, Cryptic is trying to get his account here activated but is having problems.

Edit: Animals and animated resources don't reskin. Dunno why.

Yay my accounts activated, well we are going to stop at 100 new resources, our main priority was getting those all included and working before we did anything else, Our next priority will be to get the vanilla buildings to work with these resources and then add new buildings on top of that. There have been a lot of requests for the 3d models to be changed. If you or some one else wanted to take on the task that would be awesome but if not we will eventually get to it.
