looking for a knight of Poland

exactly . In the battle of Nicopolis or Niğbolu ı would write if this forum was in Turkish , there is a guy listed simply as the Knight of Poland , if correctly remembered he brought 6 000 to the field , ı also understand he was listed as drowned . Nothing in Google so far and ı would like to have any kind of heads up in this matter .

This probably isn't the guy you are talking about, but I know Frederick Barbarossa died by drowning while on the 3rd Crusade. He was also German, so that doesn't match up either.

there is an Osprey book , modellers and military buffs might be familiar with those series , and even the author expresses surprise that there is nothing about the guy . He just appears and goes away , though 6000 troops should have meant some influence in those days .

I found this Polish guy, but they don't write anything about 6,000 - just that he was serving for Hungarian king and saved his live in the battle:

thanks . ı was out for a while and managed to find my copy . It seems ı have read too fast : the knight is merely said to be on the same location with 6000 Wallachians retreating across the river , and ı think it is actually Stibor that is depicted trying to climb up to a ship while the crew member aboard attacks with a dagger.
