I just got an IBM X20 laptop and want to play Civilization III on it. For those of you who do not know about the X20, it's a slimline laptop w/ no CD, Floppy, or anything other than the standard ****. unforunately this make playing any games fairly difficult.

The point:
Is anyone aware of a patch that stops the CD from being needed to start or run the game? Any assistance on this problem would be great, thanks.

I'm not looking for Warez, I own the CD and a serial. I want to find a way to copy the contents of the CD to the drive in order to play when I'm on the road.

There is no other way to copy files from CD to your computer if you don't have CD-ROM drive. But if you really want to play the game then....go figure

The installation already does copy all the contents of the CD onto your hard-drive. The only reason you need the CD to be present in the drive is because of the copy protection built into the game. All the No-CD crack does is stop the game from looking for the CD.

Thanks guys, I think I got all the information I need. Now I can play the game on the road and be even more addicted.
