I loved KotOR, and I definitely recommend it. KotOR II is buggy, unfinished, and confusing, but I still think its even better, especially with the Sith Lords Restored Content Mod, which fixes a lot of bugs and puts most of the cut content back. Unfortunately, II is not widely available, but I is $10 on Steam and will probably be cheaper during the Summer Sale.

Icewind Dale is decent if you enjoyed the Baldur's Gate games. Or maybe Torchlight?

Torchlight is fun but it's really an item-grind action-rpg. It really is Diablo-lite with some nice touches. I would barely classify it as an rpg.


I'd definitely recommend all the Fallout 3s. And probably take a look at GOG.com's retro RPG collection again.
