Where are they? I look, and dont see them. I have an intelligence agency built, but no buttons, and no spies in my units list. What's wrong?

There isn't a buildable spy unit like in civ 2 what you do is go to the espionage box and do it from there.

You can get to espionage box by click the tabs along the right hand side of the small box on the bottom left of the screen, above the victory conditions tab.

You can also right click on the city that has the intelligence agency and get "conduct espionage" in the pop-up, click there and the espionage screen opens.

The one with the shield icon on the city name, like this:

Shield - or Pentagon symbol if you prefer that... ;)

After you have clicked said symbol you must choose the 'spy' option, not the diplomatic option of course.

I think "shield" to avoid confusion with the pentagon, seeing as that is another small wonder. Besides, (to be incredibly pedantic;)) the shape they use is more of an irregular 5-sided polygon than a pentagon.

It's OK to be pedantic. Most people here at CFC are... ;)

That's why I said pentagon symbol not just pentagon.

Shield...Badge...Inverted Pentagon...:crazyeye:...I'll still use the E button on the box score thingee down there in the corner.

Any five-sided polygon is a pentagon.

I think we're now off-topic here, but...

So, what if we have a curvilinear space like in non-Euclidean geometry?

Erm, Euclidean geometry was presumed to be implied? :f :b
