looking for vanilla game

Oh I'm laughing , got the buzz on good I play (burp) online a bunch and it is the highest scorer that gets pounded, i have found away threw personality and shear depth (not complexity) to achieve Diplomacy or well i'm short on thoughts, blaugh never mind

Do any of you know of Alpha Centauri? (the game launched after civ2 became famious?

Sid's Alpha Centauri is a must have, and Alien Crossfire its expansion if you enjoy Sid's Genre, AC gave you a basic soldier 1-1-1 up to 24-1-1 as you got the weapon techs your troops could be fitted with the new weapon, likewise the tech tree covered the units armor. you could outfit a soldier anyway you liked, and the their are many many special abilities to research and add on to each unit so the shear diversity of units would make your head spin, not to mention chassis (foot, wheeled, hover, helo, jet, small ship, big ship, missile) and all could be fitted as you wished, i could go on and on, in its day AC pbem was king.

Eclipse, yes ive got alpha centari around somewhere, it has been many years since i played it though

not got the expansion though, and never played PBEM, first PBEM game i played was Conquests of the new world, back in the days when i had '95 on my 486, single player took forever, the computer turns could take 40 mins or so later in the game, great fun though

though i doubt there will be a sequel to it, as if i recall correctly sid, stated on the firaxis podcast, that he doesn't have the right to the franchise
