Looking for voice actors.

Hello everyone.

So, I'm starting on making an FPS, and am looking for voice talent

These are the roles:

German Soldier #1
German Soldier #2(both of these will be a majority of Germans)
German Officer #2(I have #1 already unless he drops out)
Russian Commissar

Roles already taken:
German Officer #1 - Steff
British Soldier - Rasmus

Best put into Other Games, also would be cool to add more information in the thread. Not many people will jump into a short acting position to have it be put to no use because this so called FPS never even made it out of the planning stage.
 
I would have done, but I don't think my female voice is up to those parts sadly :(
 
This... is unfortunately my first game, I will be putting a beta out(all interested need only apply)


@Boundless I could possibly use you in the future, I do need someone to voice a computer in some guy's head(though it won't be for awhile) Russian Commando coems first.



I actually have the first leve all figured(and made) out, just need voicing, I DID have one guy helping me, but because I refused to give him top leader of the project, e rage quit saying:"HELL NO! I'm not being dragged into a fail of a game, your doing everything WRONG!"


anyway, the game is called:"World War II: Russian Commando" because, well, I happen to like the Russians, and notice how little treatment they get in all the other WWII games(if any) also, this game will be featuring the native languages(sort of like S.T.A.L.K.E.R) unless ofcourse, any Russian/Germans/anyone who can would rather speak English, if thats the case, I can do the Commissar, but would prefer to have actual languages spoken(I plan on putting English subtitles on when language it spoken)
 
Can we get a screenshot? A short trailer clip? People need incentive.
 
Seems like a good start if it's just you right now. Word of advice for the damage halo though. Make it much thinner, if most of the screen is covered in red whenever you get hit, you'll experience daily insults from raging eleven year olds because their K : D was ruined by the damage halo.
 
Sounds like fun, but I'm not a native speaker for either language.

And my team is just me right now, I had one other guy, but he acted like a baby and rage quit in middle of our conversation because I wouldn't hand him top leader of the project.

He wanted small levels(like literally 5 feet between you and your target) and automated doors in a WWII bunker, like, press a button and the door opens, I don't think your average bunker had that did they?

so, because of his bickering with me and no proof(or even willingness to keep a WWII game flavored to WWII) I kicked him from the team, don't need someone spoiling potential.

what do you all think? do you think we should use the native language with a English subtitles? or accents?

Ah, in that case, it would probably be best to make it white or black, but still make it thinner (you could reduce the general environment gamma whenever your health reaches 0 or something) so that it isn't as.. distracting or annoying. Just a suggestion, I am by no means a game designer or developer so take what I say with a grain of salt :D

Haha, no. It stands for Kill : Death ratio, something people who play FPS's get overly upset about. Whenever I played Call of Duty I would hear mic spam from little kids that I kill going "OMFG MAN YOU JUST RUINED MY 2:0 KD *insert long line of expletives here*".
 
That only happens in SP, MP is completely separate, but comes free whenever I get around to making it.


on MP, you just die, and it only counts kills you get, not death's, it'sa not even consistent, this is an older engine I'm working with if you haven't noticed.


the Beta will only be 3 levels out of 15 or 20, this is but one level out of the 3.

Well, if anyone ever gets interest, please contact me, I'll give you some lines to say, I actually think I'll stick to accents, not native languages.

I've been having the hardest time finding people who actually speak full German or Russian, aside from English of course.

I guess you're looking for voice actors that will do it for free. Can't help you there, but I do know at least one civfanatic who does it professionally.

It may, or may not change, chances are it won't change... such are the limitations of the engine, though the sky may change.

Depends on how much I sell it for(beta will decides that) if I just gave it away, obviously you won't get paid, but even then, if I did sell it, don't expect much, all you did was literally provide like 3-4 lines that get reused.


I'm NOT doing a full voiced over game, if I did that, I'd probably borrow sounds from another game(you cannot copyrights words now can you?)

and even then, you'd only get paid a small amount per sale, max I plan on selling for is $10, but that is max for ANY game I make, but beta ultimately decides price of game.
