Looking forward to that! I've played this scenario several times, in fact I think I've played all the civs by now, and I'm gonna try my best to defeat Sauron as leader of the Shire :crazyeye:;)
Hobbit archers to the rescue of Minas Tirith!

Cool - I've been looking forward to this for a while. This thread is actually what brought me to CFC. The other great mods are what made me stay! :D

hey, looks great, but i have some suggestions/problems/comments:

first, the argonath and the falls of rauros... do they do anything or are they just very cool landmarks?

second, i must say... Eomer's army defnds the border with the corsairs very well, but obviously this isnt accurate. is it ok that im kicking oliphant ass with my rohirrim?

third, currently, the only way for the heroes to get to gondor/rohan is to go around moria. there is no way into the hill square with the road that is next to the watcher. I think you should add a road to the forest tile just to its left, that way they still have to pass the watcher, but they CAN actually pass the watcher lol. again, right now only frodo and sam can go on the hill and there is NO way they are going to defeat the balrog... on that note, is boromir a king? cause he dies in the book/movie and so should die in the game... ps... any tips on defeating the balrog? my bombardment with legolas and gandalf almost never hit... should i just go all out and attack?

thats it for now... looks great though so far.

Wow! I really like the new version!! :goodjob: But as you mentioned in post 163, I think you should have started a new thread to attract more people.

Only problem noticed so far is the same encountered by King Coltrane: there is a road on the hill beside Moria but none BESIDE the hill, so it is still impassable by all wheeled unit (i.e. all the Fellowship except Sam and Frodo). Here is a view of the problem:

yeah, at the last minute i made hills impassable by all units except frodo and sam and i forgot to add a road there, Ill fix it right now and repost it...

For you guys who have already downloaded the mod, add a road on the forest terrain just on the left side unless you want to redownload it...

Thanks for pointing it out. At the last second before I was going to post this mod, the files suddenly disappeared so I had to go back to an older file and update it to where the other one was previously, and I guess I missed one thing.

I started a new game and put a road the same way it was in your previous mod. Wah! Moria was a tough one! Fortunately, I only lost Boromir but Gimli, Gandalf and Aragorn entered Moria with only one point of live! Now I have to wait four turns before getting Kingdoms and upgrade Gandalf. I only hope the 8 remaining members of the fellowship will be able to sustain the attacks of Orks and Trolls coming from all over the place. Meawhile, I'll have to concentrate on Minas Tirith and Osgiliath since Harad and Mordor are making a big offence on Gondor... I fear I will soon have to abandon Osgiliath to concentrate on Minas Tirith...

On a side note, I do prefer the Ring Title.

Here are some game Hints:
-Kill the Watcher in the Water before you attack moria with Gandalf or Legolas.
-Keep the Warships of Gondor close to shore near Linhir to assist in city defense. A side note to this is that if you go out and explore the Seas you may run into... some deadly monsters of the seas.
-Go through the dead marshes to exscapr detection from Wraith on Wings between Rauros and Gondor, usually at that time of the game there is a large of army of Orcs, Uruk-Hai, and Nazgul there.
-Remember when and where fellowship units upgrade.

Some bugs I found:

-The Watcher in the Water doesn't have the bombard flag, so it can't bombard (Unless it's being controlled by the AI, and the AI cheats)
-It's impossible to capture Minis Tirith, because it's on a mountain, and all the units are wheeled.

All of the units are supposed to be Wheeled due to game mechanics. Frodo and Sam are supposed to be the only non wheeled units. All the word wheeled means in the game is that those units will not be able to move on certain terrain, and you can take over minas tirith even if it is a mountain, because any unit can move onto any tile if it has a road on it. Any terrain that has a road leading up to it is accessable, even cities. Trust me, I tested the game out plenty of times.

Thanks for telling me about the watcher in the water, ill have it fixed.

Well, I tried to take it while playing as Mordor, and none of my units could attack there....

As I can see from the screenshots, you've done some very good work to update your mod. Well done! (Though I'm a fan of the book and I find the movies very poor - I regret I'm dissapointed your new young and handsome Aragorn avatar).
