Played 10...started off by doing some micro on our cities, but got bored about half way through. Also looked to switch to Mercantilism, but it was a hefty 3 turns of anarchy
. The GL should birth a GS in a few turns, will trigger a golden age and then swap. I did use the whip fairly heavily my turnset, we have an excess of happy and there aren't too many turns left in this one! About four turns in everything is in position, and I buy de Gaulle's map for 5 gold and then declare. We went from 54 to 73 Cuirassier during those four turns...I really, really did use the :whip:. Here is the power graph:
When I declare war a deal for Copper to de Gaulle gets cancelled
. I take out Hariharalaya immediately (no revolt necessary):
I lost two 90+% battles doing that, including a shock Cuirassier to an Axe
. Final act before ending the turn was to trigger a golden age, although I forgot to revolt to Mercantilism for five turns
. In between turns Peter burns about half his troops:
That'll be the last screenshot like that you see, but it happened quite a bit. He took a city, but had no where near enough to hold it and it was ours as soon as I could make a few clicks. The rest of Peter's army was holed up in Braga:
The stack I had in the area wasn't enough to take out those troops, even with a revolt, so the plan was to bring in the stack that took out Lagos to the south:
Meanwhile, de Gaulle shows up with an uber stack of Pikeman, Maceman and Trebs at Yeha. It would have been nice to have some Knights for flank attacks against the Trebuchet, but in the end I just consolidated as many troops as I could in the city. Final action before ending the turn was to take Tartar, Peter's lone city in the North:
In between turns, Yeha holds (given that city's past, I figured she was doomed), although we lost several Cuirassier. A small scouting stack found de Gaulle's stack of doom:
That's not too shabby...I almost used quotation marks around doom, but there are enough Medieval units in there to be at least a little scary. I noodled it over and figured this stack was headed towards Yeha as well (the orientation means that she was moving NE, I believe). So I kept all the units I had in there and trickled in some more over the next few turns. On the Portugues front, Braga fell two turns later:
Peter is mostly gassed. After healing up I think the rest of his cities will fall quickly. I have enough Spies in the area and I believe sufficient EPs to incite revolts (I did modify EPs towards de Gaulle, if you end up short just run 100% espionage slider for a turn). Sure enough, de Gaulle's stack showed up at Yeha, and I pounded it. One turn later, another large stack shows up:
He's out of Maceman it would seem. I toy with the idea of attacking the stack, but decide to wait it out since I can't do any flank attacks. What a good decision that was, IBT a large stack of Pikemen comes in from the NE and attacks
. Here's what's left after the carnage:
Wow, just two units left
. He's still get several units in the area, but two more Cuirassier trickle in, and I rotate some garrison units from neighboring cities and Yeha holds! I'm rather proud I saved those poor souls from more strife
. Here's were we are at from a Domination standpoint:
I've been putting cities towards build Wealth unless they are fairly close the front. We can probably get in some kills with Calvarly while waiting for borders to expand. Enjoy!

P.S. I'm pretty sure the large number of Pikeman is a result of Blake's AI enhancements. It does a much better job of matching units built to what it sees coming at it.
