Low FPS After Windows Update

Hello all, thanks in advance.

I had been running Civ VI for a couple of weeks on the default settings for my laptop:
Core i5 7700 @ 2.5
8 GB DDR 4
Nvidia GTX 1050 4GB

The game had been running smooth until the recent windows update, and now I am getting under 10 FPS regardless of how far in the game I am (IE early or late game). I am running Civ VI with the Rise and Fall expansion, so far I have tried verifying the integrity of game files, uninstalling and reinstalling the game in steam, and uninstalling and reinstalling my video card driver but nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I absolutely love this game.

What are your CPU, RAM, & GPU utilizations? Do you have any other programs running in the background that are monopolizing resources?

Baring other issues, one option would be to manually d/l the newest driver from NVIDIA and then do a complete wipe of your graphics driver and NVIDIA programs with Guru3d's DDU. Then install the new driver manually. NVIDIA tends to keep old installations, which can muck up newer files.

I've also heard that some people have had problems with GeForce Experience, so if you're running that you might consider uninstalling it.

I just checked the utilizations, for some reason after the update it switched to my integrated graphics in the game, switched it back to the 1050 and it ran smooth again, thank you so much!
