I voted Agricultural and Industrious, but that's really Ag and Javelin Throwers.

Can you add it.
It looks like you already did. But I didn't get a chance to vote Espansionist as well.

Hm, I didn't add it.

Uh oh, this is beginning to sound like Florida in 2000.

My superman extra powers include X-ray vision which allows me to see that Padma added them. Thanks Padma :D

Anyone seen my hanging chad anywhere?

I voted seafaring and commercial because I live in ENgland ;)

Also voted that I have C3C even though I haven't actually bought it (dojoboy knows what I mean :D )

I observe that six of us already have it, while six are still waiting (so far). If everyone who's voted was genuinely expressing interest in playing by doing so, it seems like we might want to start one game with those who have it now, and a second with those who do not once they do, since 12 players would be way too many for a single game.

I also observe that, of the six "have it" votes, there are 3 votes for Ag, 2 each for Ind and Sea, and 1 for Com. Which would suggest that game would use Maya or the Dutch. However, iamliberal and waltham didn't vote for traits, and should be given the opportunity to weigh in on that.

Hey fruno, we may need a new SOTD - now that C3C has arrived on the mac.

Okay - I'm on it ! Have a stinking cold, so that'll take my mind of being ill :)

it's a nice poll, but what is the question?
my favorite trait? less favourite? most annoying?

I believe it relates to the idea of having a celebration Mac Civ Complete Succession Game, which I raised in another thread.

I suppose the PtW civs are also in the mix. Any agr/ind traits there? Let me look.

No Agricultural - it didn't appear until Conquests ... unless they changed the traits of course

Well, they did change some civs, like England - but they became seafaring rather than expansionist.

I PM'ed them, so maybe we'll know sooner rather than later.

They've still not voted for traits. Per Beamup's observation, here is some information on the Mayans and Dutch. The traits and UUs will influence map type, etc.

Maya
Leader: Smoke-Jaguar
Characteristics: Agricultural & Industrious
Special Unit: Javelin Thrower (2-2-1; 30 shields; Ancient Age)
The Mayan Javelin Thrower hurls javelins in rapid succession, using the atl-atl. He is strong on both the attack and on the defense. The Javelin Thrower also possesses the ability to "enslave". When the javelin thrower wins a battle, there is a 1/3 chance that the defeated unit will be "enslaved" and immediately turned into a Worker, which is then the property of the Maya.
Aggression Level: 3 (moderate)
Favorite Government: Feudalism
Shunned Government: Democracy
Culture Group: American

Netherlands
Leader: William of Orange
Characteristics: Agricultural & Seafaring
Special Unit: Swiss Mercenary (1-4-1; 30 shields; Medieval Age)
The Dutch Swiss Mercenary is an excellent defender that boasts an even better defense strength than the formidable Pikeman. A Dutch city must have Iron in its Strategic Resource box to build a Swiss Mercenary.
Aggression Level: 2 (low)
Favorite Government: Monarchy
Shunned Government: Despotism
Culture Group: European

It sounds like we have enough people to set up two games, so we could start one now and one later. Accordingly, it seems to me like now would be an appropriate time to take signups, put together a roster, and start play.

Unless there are objections to that plan, I can start a new thread for signups.
