Please help! I finally got another Mac after 10 years and have attempted to load CIV I on my G4 - Disk 1 is unreadable! Can anyone offer a solution or a copy of disk 1? The three remaining disks are intact, and I've copied them to a fixed disk already.

Thanks,
Mark

IIRC, I would think that the magnetic surfaces of the floppy might have deteriorated.

Does the floppy still work when using an older mac (IE a Mac Plus, Quadra, or an older Power Mac pre-Mac OS X and still running Mac OS 7 (System 7.5), Mac OS 8, or Mac OS 9)?

Just get a replacement copy from the Macintosh Garden. That's what I did (because I was far too lazy to get a USB floppy drive to read my old disks, which may or may not work anyway).
