Mac releases?

Hi Dojo, long time no see. Ever the optimist, I see :)

Hey AlanH! I'm always popping in now and then. And, I'm playing COTM05 here and there. I did edit my post, while you replied, to provide some reality. ;)

What does VPLtd stand for, and what games are they coming out with? Are they turn based? I don't like the real time games. I tried Age of Empires2 and Empire of Earth a couple years ago on PC, and I hated them. I always come back to Civ ever since the very first version. Now that I use a Mac, I welcome advice from other Civ fans (fanatics :) ).

I just bought Sim City 4 mac yesterday, and I hope that satisfies a bit of my strategy-game game play urges.

Virtual Programming Limited.

Hearts of Iron (HoI), Victoria and Europa Universalis II (EUII) are the ones I'm aware of. The are real time games with a pause option to cater for people who think veeeery sloooowy like me. However, I haven't played any of them beyond some testing HoI and EUII when I tried out my mod installer against them.

I'm wondering if that's what all of us Civers have in common, that thinking veeeery sloooowly thing? I'm smart guy, I just like to think a lot about each move, plan, scope out what's going on everywhere, and calculate each move. I'm a total micromanager in Civ, I rarely automate workers until the modern age when most the important stuff is done already.

Well, for me it's advancing years and sloooow reactions. At 60-something I could no more play a first person shooter now than win an Olympic 100 meters. But I doubt if that's your excuse ;)
