I've just been made aware of a weird situation. It seems it may out one mafia, possibly two. Or possibly none, though I can't quite figure out how that would work. In any case, here it is without names attached:
Before he died, Takhisis brought up one player (I'll call him A) completely out of the blue to another player (I'll call him B). He referred to player A as "kinda mafia-ish" in this PM. Well all right so far, a nice bit of WIFOM, whatever.
Only thing is, Players A and B are Masons of the "know each others role names only" variety. Which is one heck of a coincidence, if you ask me. Furthermore, Player A is not someone you'd expect Takhisis to have had extensive conversation with so early, and not someone who's been making himself conspicuous in the public thread either. It really looks like this "kinda mafia-ish" comment was directed specifically at Player B. So why? Or more precisely how?
Takhisis may have gotten careless here. Assume for a moment that Player A is mafia with Takhisis, so Takhisis knew that Player B and Player A were "masons". Given the game that Takhisis (and Earthling) just finished, in which one pair of "mason" were both Mafia but on opposing teams, might it make sense to approach Player B in such a fashion? I'm not sure. Like I said, it's just one heck of a coincidence if Takhisis did not already have Player A's information.
So it looks like Zack will be lynched today, so there may be some space to get comments on all of this.
