And I don't like it when it's angry.
I'll be playing the game (Civ 4 Vanilla, 1.74) and it'll just stop. It boots me out to my desktop, and the graphics are seriously @$!#ed up when it does this.
To put a picture in your mind: Imagine the standard rolling hills background any PC comes with. Clouds in the background, a few mountains above the hills, that sort of thing - Now imagine it in half the graphical quality of the original Mario game (the graphics properties say it's at 4-bit).
Sometimes, it'll send me to the desktop with an error message saying to reduce graphics settings, but I already play on low quality! Then, there are the times it sends me to a blue error screen saying to reboot. Either way, I reboot it and the problem fixes, but Civ continues to kick me out.
Could my computer just be too old and crappy? It is about the most ancient bucket of bolts I've ever seen. It's probably at the very least 7 years old. I doubt it's 21st century.
Should I just buy a new computer, or has anyone else had+fixed this problem?
