Making my Civ into an AI for a few hundred turns?

Hi wondering if I could have a game play itself out for a set amount of turns with only AI in them... then I take control of one of the AI for myself? the start era option isn't bad but I'd prefer an already explored game.

Ctrl+shift+x

And choose how many turns you want AI to play on your behalf.

That's awesome!! seems like the revolutions popup about accepting/rejecting terms breaks the loop. I'll have to play with revolutions off or put on quick speed.

Yeah, revolutions stop autoplaying, it's a bit annoying. That's something I still want to fix.
