Hi,
Is there a way that I can link my computers together to make them run as a mini supercomputer? I think that "Google Compute" can take the computing power of many computers and make them do one task. Well, I want to do the same thing, except instead of using it for google, I want to make my computer faster.

If there is a way to do that, can you please let me know.
Four of my computers run Window XP and are within the last four years, if this helps. I mainly want to use them.

The other four are a little older, but I'd like to use those too if I can.

Short answer: No, not in the way you're thinking of.

Beowolf Cluster

Probably not terribly practicle, but interesting nonetheless. I had a super-geek friend set up a cluster of 486s (back when Pentium II was big), mostly so he could say he did it.

what vyapti said, except Beowolf clusters will not work with xp. you might be abel to get everything to work with Windows 2003 (one of the server editions) but i doubt it.
