Have U just meat a girl playing one of those games ?

Probably something like 90%-10%.Maybe even 95-5.Not many but the ones that do play are pretty gung ho about it.

My sister plays, but she isn't a member here. Not for lack of me trying to convince her to come here, trust me.

You're not a girlie, you're our queen!

Chieftess comes along now and again to inspect proceedings and Becka too to ensure that she gets a city named after her by turning up just often enough (;)) but you are the only woman to play the Demo game full-time. And you're doing very well too! :goodjob:
In fact, the Civ 2 Demo game probably has the highest female to male ration of all the forums on the site. ;)

Heres a sexist question,
Has anyone ever tried to find out if the game plays the same for a male or female ruler? Does it patronize the weaker sex or give credit to those who stand in for Joan of Arc ?

it kinda does...the leader personality changes...Hippolyta's a nasty B^tch when on AI....she usually kills the dark blue civs and wont ally unless she is "sweetened" by giving many gifts...same with Catherine,Sittingbull,Eleanore roosevelt,Ramesess(i spelled his name the way game does) but Cleopatra is kinda...sweet. i guess cause she seduced people...

Not quite. I think someone needs to have a few facts explained to them... :mischief:

:rotfl:

I have to wonder though. How many women usually play conquest? Compared to how many men?

I know that if I'm not conquering omething, it's not fun. Well, unless I'm trying to save my butt from giving another civ all my technology so they can research something for me... :crazyeye: That was a stupid mistake in the Lalande game (ToT version). I forgot to take out all the alien civs, traded my huge tech advantage to one alien civ, who, in turn, gave them to everyone else and declared war on me. I should have waited until I defeated everyone else but one alien civ and then give my techs to them.

Oh well, at least with my 50+ cities I built a spaceship, launched it and reached Earth WAY before they could even dream of getting theirs off the ground.

Bwahahahahaha so I'm :king: anyway! Sort of. Too bad I can't kill them off (they're too strong still)

Hee hee, I just noticed my name was mentioned in this thread. I just got my Civ II game back from my nephew, (he had it for about a year and a half, sneaky little bugger) I can't wait until my happy family of Civ games can all be together on the same computer. When I lived overseas, I had Civ 1 and Civ 3, but Civ 2 was still over here. When I moved back, I realized that my Civ 3 game wasn't packed in the box I shipped my PC back with.

None of my female friends play Civ or even like video games for that matter. I suppose we're a rare breed in my area.

Ribannah over on Apolyton.Net was another famous female player. She seemed to play civilized most of the time, but when she attacked it was fast and furious...

No, I imagine that'd kinda distract you from the gameplay, and...
Oh, MEET.

Yep, I'm a girl, and here I am, inspecting the proceedings. ;)
