Map Mod Help Please!

I've played the civ series for years and always enjoyed the mod maps. However, I can't access the mod maps after they've been installed and enabled on Civ 5. None of them are showing up in my maps list! How do I fix this? Thanks.

Because i rather suspect an interface problem than a real technical problem.

are you still trying to play from within the mods part of the game? For example if you download and install Shiggs Earth then hit back, then "setup game" it will show up for sure.
