Map Scrolls Slow & Jerky?

Even with animations off, the graphics code seems to be a performance hog. I've got a 1.2 ghz Tbird, 64 meg vid card, half gig of RAM and the screen scroll is jerky.

The gameplay seems pretty decent (other than the aforementioned corruption problems) though.

Make sure you don't have your monitor set to Defualt or Plug & Play. It sounds weird but it fixes preformance problems...

ow the fudge do you do that, Screw? I haven't got the game but I might need to know someday when I get it.

Depends on your OS, how to do it exactly, I think there is some help on it at the support site for civ3. The quick answer is in the display properties page under settings, hit the advance button. There is a way to update the monitor driver in there... You can probably get to it from the system icon in control panel too.
