MAP: Warhammer, Old World.

This map is based on the Old world from the Games Workshop warhammer franchise. It’s a combination with the official 5th and 6th edition GW map, and the older version used in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and the original Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

I do have a version with modified names for cities and civilisations, but I could only include 6 civilisations (Tileans, Estalians, Bretonnians, Imperials, Kislevites and the Border Princes) and it didn't work too well on a large map. The version I have uploaded has 10 start locations, which should work better.

I am currently redoing the map for the standard size, and I'll re-add the civilisations with that version.

Great work. I have to get this, cos I love warhammer. I might try renaming cities and races, for a warhammer mod pack. If anyone out there does units and is willing, then let me know

this is well cool. but i still have some ideas to run by peeps
1) is it possible to make the map bigger and add
+ The chaos wastes
+the new world
+ulthuan
+naggaroth
+chaos dwarf lands...i forget the name
+and go further south to those two elven ports/fortesses dusk and dawn. if we had the whole world that would be AMAZING

If you wanted to do a huge, whole world version, you could start be modifying an existing world map (i'm sure most of the authors would let you if you asked) as I think the old world design was based off our world. Not only that but if you wanted to turn this into a full mod many of the civs would translate quite well

E.g. Zulus = Orcs + Goblins
French = Bretonnians
Aztecs = Lizardmen

Our prayers have been answered!!! With the new patch out you can place units and cities on the map. This means we can create an accurate picture of how the warhammer world stands.

I also think that the best way to create an accurate Warhammer MOD is if we work together as a team. So if you want to join me in this effort then please reply!

It also needs to be decided wether the MOD should be created before or after the "play the world" addon pack is released.

Oh, trust me, you want to get conquests! It's pretty cheap right now, and most of the scenarios around here are made for it. Plus, on the modding side, it's got a lot more options!
