Martians in PTW?

I heard there might be a Martian scenario in PTW. Is this true? Because I do not really believe it.

The only unusual scenario Firaxis has talked about is the dino scenario they're preparing. They've taken alot of heat for that on other boards, people saying the time and effort should be spent on more fundamental aspects of the game...blah blah.

I've learned in school that the best customer is the one who is not happy about your product, but tells you about it.

Guess Firaxis has a bunch of that kind, with Zouave their leader

The thing that's wrong about this is that the people at Firaxis who would be doing a scenario would not be the people whose job it is to fix things. Dinosaur models would be done by artists and animators, not the programmers.

But the animators (I think) would be better used building more 'flavour' units for the civs, to give them more variety, in the same way that we on this site have made the Japanese infantry, Vietnamese infantry, arabian horseman, arabian pikeman, etc.

I for one think that the dino scenario is a wee bit daft...

Martians, dinosaurs, the Borg. Whatever. It's all as unrealistic as Culture Flipping and Settler Diarrhea - but maybe enjoyable.

Zouave must be the best customer in history!
He sure lets us know what is wrong!

Also I hope they haven't done too much crazy stuff in PTW. Just a couple of small fixes, multiplayer and 8 new civs is just fine for me.

Well them artists and animators can create individual palaces for every civ instead of using generics, for starters; or create a few more heads of leaders so we can make Hitler lead the Germans, Stalin lead the Russians, Napoleon lead the French, and Sun Yat-sen lead the Chinese, Ramses lead the Egyptians, etc. as we choose to.

Yeah, a few more leaders would be nice. But still, a martian scenario would be nice...even better, in modern age, replace barbarians (never see them in modern age) with martian attacks!

They never said martians that I know of, but in the unscheduled chat at apolyton they said they had the andronians from star trek.
