Maydrock's_PBEM_1

Changed victory conditions: Removed time victory conditon(When I was playing with the setup inteface a few weeks ago, I got the impression the "time victory" was automatically removed, so I thought that was the default and didn't add this condition to the OP). Sorry.

Please remember to send the verification emails for first few turns to help me with tracking the game in case of any problems.

Couple other things to keep in mine:
1) No declaration of war prior to 3500 BC
2) No technology trading
3) Goody huts are in the game
4) Difficulty level is noble
5) My start sucked

Ready to go!

Good luck everyone & let's get crackin'! Hopefully once everyone gets acclimated to the nuances of PBEM multi-player games, maybe we can do as many as 6-8 turns a week! Just an optimistic expectation... it'll require folks to be vigilant with email-checking is all. I'd be just as happy with 3-6 turns a week. Even if it'll take a few years, I'll be in it until I'm eliminated.

See you all in game! :D

Yay!! I can't wait!
Noble level? Sounds good, can't get the hang of Prince, though I am giving it a good shot..

Ok.. Email received, and played (Not too bad of a start I figure) but it is going to take a while to get used to it taking a week to build a warrior..

Just sending it out to deleatur,

Maydrock: I think I figured out that password thing, no need to worry..

Edit: Sorry deleatur, Maydrock. I forgot to end my turn. Finished it and sent it out..

No biggie with the turn thing. Turn finished and sent along. My start is so good the rest of you should just quit...Oh I mean OK start.

Good starting location, please...

From my current experience (one pbem in progress from two weeks), playing 6-8 turns/week with 8 players is impossible. 3-4 turns would be great.

I will be happy if we can average 2 turns/week, estatic with 3; espcially in the beginning.

Might be a good idea to start a text file and put on desktop for strategies, thoughts, etc. to help remind yourself what you were doing the previous turn. Yeah, it takes a long time to build a warrior, probably couple months for a wonder, doh!

That's not a bad idea, about the wordpad thingie..

Yeah, I wish I had cows or something nearby, they are great for starting up..

I am experiencing internet connection problems with my pc. I will be traveling home tomorrow and try to connect at home. If that doesn't work I will bring the computer to a local pc tech. I think the Windows auto updater corrupted a file or got caught in a loop. I know it was trying to update when my computer screwed up.

I'll keep you guys posted as best I can.

No problem! :) Stuff like this happen!

So who has the game right now? Did it get back to you already Maydrock?

Ok, thanks!

I got my turn and sent it yesterday around 10p.m. (8p.m. GMT). Sorry, but I was in hurry and I forgot to send a copy to Maydrock. You still want to get it?

Maydrock, you set everything ingame as I asked, you just forgot to set a password for me. Can I set it now?

I remember putting yours in as it stands out a bit. But, go ahead, I must of skipped it somehow.

Edit: Don't worry about the confirmation since you posted here, but try to remember next turn. I don't want to clutter the thread with sent and received confirmation type posts. Once the thread gets 200 or 300 posts long, it will make it hard to go back and find something important that someone said.

Also, if I get carbon copied, I know the time stamp when things happen, so if the next person in line is having problems, I know when the 24 hour limit is up and can be trying to find out what happened so I can try to keep the game rolling as best I can.

2d turn recieved played and sent on
