Meeting Yourself

I just began a new game as Roosevelt and soon met...Roosevelt!

I did a search and could only find one other person who had this happen. Is this a bug in 1.61? Does anyone know of a fix?

I imagine that this would complicate diplomacy. If someone declares war on the other you would both be at war? Can the other Roosevelt fight a war against me?

did you name yourself as roosevelt or did you choose the same leader?

and its a wierd bug. in a custom game you might be able to force it to be the same leader(haven't tried), but I've never had that bug.

No, different, name, but I selected Rosevelt as my leader. There were two American Empires, but one was a blue star on a white background.

lol shouldn't see why that dosen't happen if there is a White Background on Blue star,

really wierd. we'd have to see a screenshot or a savegame to get a better look.

do you have any mods on your comp? its possible that somehow a mod caused the wierdness here.

also, I don't know what you are talking about Tekee, you can't choose what color your civ will use, all the civs have thier preset colors.

I have never installed any mod. I do have a saved game.

you should be able to upload the saved game that you are talking about and I can look at it. I won't be able to get into the coding or anything, but just seeing what is going on helps.

ok I looked at it and I'm as confused as you are. I have absolutely NO idea how it could have happened, unless its one of those one in a million flukes of randomness. someone who knows how to look at the coding will have to look at it because I'm not seeing anything else strange other than what you described and if theres any clues, theyd be in the coding.
