Mercurians and Angels

I origianlyl posted this in the FfH forum, but it occurs to me that my instance occured while playing FF051. While embroiled in a war with the Balseraph, my Orderly Bannor civ built the Mercurian gate, and I switched to play the Mercurians (my first time doing this).

I was interested to see how the Angel mechanics worked. Within a few turns, the AI controlled Bannor marched Valin Phanual right into a slew of Mimics, and the veteran Valin with about 125 xp died.

No Angel. In fact during my 50 turns of war against the Clowns, I did not receive a single Angel even though Bannor AND Balseraph units died (both civs followed Order).

Is this a bug?
 
Is a current bug, yes. Sadly.
 
We haven't fixed it internally, so no. The problem is that a python event (onUnitKilled) is not executing when it should, ie, when something dies. The code for angel/manes spawning are in this section, among others.

It's personally beyond my expertise to fix, but I believe Xienwolf plans on sorting it soon. I would hazard a guess that it's in the .dll
