messages and seeing them or history

Is there some way to view the in game message history? I'm playing the Scythians and I just built a horseman (1st one of the game) and two showed up. I don't know why. I'm guessing there was a message but its gone and I can't find where you can see a history or log of what the the heck is happening/has happened in the game.

that's the Scythian's special ability. But I agree it would be nice to have a log.

lol.....thanks. i guess reading the civopedia a little closer would help.

You can review messages by talking to other civs. On the bottom left it shows what happened in the last 10 turns (if you bothered to send them a delegation and they didn't denounce or DOWed on you).

But I agree it's quite easy to miss messages.
