Situation Assessment: 30 more turns! What else is there to assess? I guess I can check out the diplomatic state. Everyone is pleased with us, except for Tokugawa. He is now cautious; that is certainly an improvement. Oh, and, Methos' workers are still eating their lunch ...
Turn 0 - 1970AD: Nothing to do but press Enter.
IBT: The Germans and Japanese parade by with their Destroyers. Meanwhile, the Chinese show off their shiny new Carrier. Our Caravel is duly impressed ...
Germany and Japan each complete a SS Casing, while America completes a SS Thruster.
Turn 2 - 1972AD: Tokugawa completes 2 more SS Casings.
Turn 4 - 1974AD: Tokugawa completes an SS Thruster, while Qin enters the space race with completion of the Apollo program.
Turn 7 - 1977AD: Tokugawa completes another SS Thruster and his final SS Casing. He has now taken the lead in the space race.
Turn 8 - 1978AD: Our expenses just ticked up by 3gpt, due to inflation. We now have 128 gold and are drawing -4gpt. At this rate, that is 32 turns -- we are OK for the moment. If it gets any worse, we may need to start disbanding workers/troops.
IBT: Bizmark offers to trade us a summer blockbuster movie for some copper. I inform him that our people prefer opera and ballet.
Turn 9 - 1979AD: Tokugawa completes his final SS Thrusters. He has definitely taken a commanding lead in the space race.
Our culture picture after 10 turns:
Notice that the cpt in Medina has fallen. It is because of a loss of foreign trade route income. As Qin crushes the American cities, our cities are switching to less profitable trade routes. If I've done the math correctly, this has added a turn to our victory date.
