MGE AI Diplomacy Patch?

Are there any software patches or mods for MGE that decrease the hostility of the AI civs? I want to play an MGE game with AIs that I can actually ally and trade with over a period of play longer than a half-dozen turns.

There was a guy tweaking the settings in the game a while back, I think his thread was in General Discussions. I'll hunt around for it this weekend.

The adjustment works like a charm! How nice it is to deal with sane AIs, for a change.

could you please help me? I don't understand how I'm supposed to rename and extract those files.

Rename the .txt file extension so it instead reads .rar. You can do this through the DOS command prompt.

I think both files are the same. I am playing with the civ2.exe extracted from the 1st file, and it works fine.

what about the "find city" bug? is there still this problem in the patch?

click on "find city" and first, it doesn't work and second all your cities go into disorder!

The problem still exists. I just tried it.

Oddly, while every city is in anarchy they are still honoring me by building multiple improvements to my Throne Room!
