Deep in the forests of Nottingham lived a lone archer. His name was Pedro R. Hood. Loved among both humans and animals he dedicated his life to creating a better world for the poor. He met Suntzu the Great for the first time in 210 AD, when he rescued his beautiful grandgranddaughter, Mah Ri Yan. To reward the ranger for his incredible courage, SuntZu let him be his personal advisor. Ten years later, SuntZu died at the incredible age of 350. The senate of England decided there was no better candidate to succeed SuntZu than Pedro R. Hood. Thus began the reign of consul Pedro R. Hood, supported by his beautiful wife, Mah Ri Yan.
240 AD, Dear Diary
My faithful men are not merry at all in the colonies of PinkyGen and Liverpool. The construction of a magnificent temple has nearly been finished in PinkyGen, but the people in Liverpool dont have acces to such a facility yet.
Ill let the men in the fields rest. I have found some good entertainers in Liverpool wholl maintain hapiness in Liverpool for now
I sent them to a good barber though, they looked horrible!
I instructed the city of Leeds to assign some of its workers to assemble the necessary equipment to found a new colony in the vicinity. A great site has been located westwards.
As a present for my wifes birthday we decorated the throne room with a bears fur. She loved it and showed me her gratitude that night
260 AD, My dear diary
My people are all happy again. The settlers of Leeds will travel westwards to found the new colony. The entertainers from Liverpool are bound to fail to do their job, so I decided to hurry the construction of a temple. Hopefully the citizens will have courage when the barbarians arive that were spotted on the southern part of the island
280 AD, Dear diary
Settlers continued enhancing PinkyGen and Cimfindriel, our scientists aquired something called pottery by reading some foreign literary works in our Great Library. I already heard about this phenomena before. It is said that the germans used it to construct their Hanging Gardens in Leipzig.
300 AD, Dearest diary
The Hanging Gardens of Leipzig made me realize that we should contact those Germans. If they have a structure of such magnificence that it enhances the mood of their people, they should be civilized and good people. I was right! They were willing to trade knowledge with me. We learned to use mathematics to enhance our military force and they had a better understanding of sea and methods of exploring land, which they explained to us. We also ended up talking with the Mongols. Despite theire strange name, they appeared to be quite civilized too, trading scientific thoughts on iron working and warrior code with us. Both civilization agreed to sign a peace treaty.
Leeds is using stored food to feed their people. I hope that temple is finished soon, so the people will start working instead of rioting.
320 AD, Oh dear diary
I was delighted to open the new market in London. People seemed to like it very much, so overal hapiness increased. I ordered the construction of a new library, as London scientists are complaining about the bad facilities in the city.
340 AD, My dear diary
We tried to contact the Egyptian people. Never have I talked to such an ignorant person. He seemed rather preoccupied, because he showed little interest in me and my knowledge. He rejected our peace treaty offer, claiming to be afraid to become a slave of our decadent empire. Whats this man talking about? The persians showed more interest and did sign the peace treaty. They told us that they were working on a great project named Copernicus Observatory It would speed up their research. I should keep this in mind
360 AD, Dear diary,
We discovered astronomy through the great library. Now I know what the persians were talking about! We could construct a new structure that would grant us the wisdom of the stars! Maybe in a few years one of our cities can build the structure..
380 AD
York completed a new marketplace, I decided <considering the number of scientists in the vicinity of the city> to start construction of the great observatory there. The settlers from Leeds have finally reached their destination and will erect a new city. I will name it after my loving wife, Mah Ri Yan. She loves the site I have chosen for the city, as fishermen have lots of oportunities to fish. In the evening we sometimes sit at the shores of her city, watching the sun set
400 AD
These are dark times for our kingdom. I dont know why, but the people of Reading and Stonehenge have started to riot. I had to made difficult decisions and made sure hapiness was maintained, but as food is scarce these days, I hope they will realize the stupidity of their resistance soon.
420 AD
My wife is not well. I dont know what causes her illness, maybe its her age. My best doctors are trying to cure this strange disease.
The rebelling people of Reading have been sent out in the field, to enhance the citys surroundings, in this way they cause the least harm.
440 AD
People from Hastings helped constructing the observatory in York. My wife is still not in good health, why must this misery come upon the one thats most loved by me?
460 AD
The persians constructed the observatory. They have already read the stars and took all their wisdom away. I think its better to built something else in York now. Im not sure yet what that might be?
480 AD
Nothing of importance, really
500 AD
The Celts have shown their true face. They charged an unacceptable sum of money. We politely denied, after which they declared war.
520 AD
As we discovered the techniques of engineering after years of research, I immediately ordered my wise men to research for a medicine for my wife. There has to be something that can help her? The people of York are still constructing something. We still dont know what, but people are whispering about a great crusade..
540 AD
Today my wife has died
This is the saddest day of my life. I cant continue my efforts to guide the english people in these times of ongoing darkness
I decided to retire and hand over the incredible task of governing this empire. Ill live in Mah Ri Yan, until I die, to remember the wonderful days we spend in this peaceful town
