I have *0* experience in MP :)

So what I propose is typically aimed at improving SP play.



I play MP or always war. Stuff that makes single player micro good, makes MP good.

MP is all about building a good CIV, good army and good economy. Simultaneous turns make it a bit tactical but generally competent player doesn't loose to fast move (move at 10 seconds before end of turn and again at start of next turn). If someone is in golden age and his power graph is spiking, you know they're going to attack someone. Also Diplo doesn't work as with AI and you can't sell stuff for improving relations, religions, etc...

Another popular variant is OCC always peace equal islands. That is all about micromanagement.

It's all basic cottaging, farming, slaving and chopping. Only playing against people (some people are worse than AI :) makes it more interesting.
