Middle-Earth: Lord of the Mods (XIII)

Me and PCH are arguing some stuff to a mild concussion, and it's not entirely unlike this scenario:

PCH: Hey, I've these great ideas! :)
mrtn: Half of them suck, but the rest is ok... :nya: Now restart from the beginning! :whipped:
PCH: Sheesh, you Swedes sure are demanding. And you're all anal retentives...

or not... :mischief:

I expect to receive the mod in a couple of days.

I know I'm going to hate myself for posting this, but you guys seem to want something to argue about ;). Here are the civ-specific tech names. I warn you however, these may/probably will not be changed by the time the beta starts. I've already started writing the next threads overview. The day I give Mrtn the beta, is the official start of the 'beta phase.'

At which point we'll screw around with it for a while, until we feel it is playable, and then we'll start the private beta. The phase where only Mrtn and I have it will probably only last a week or two.

BTW Weasel Op, why do you need BMPs into FLCs? Static LHs? I could help you there.

Wow... If you thought that would cause argument... It's been a while and no one has posted... I have no arguments.

[edit] wow... talk about cross posting :)

@ modmakers: could you give us some ingame screenshots please?

No, cause there isn't a beta version released yet...the private beta should be out in a couple of days, and it won't have a lot of the graphics till the mod is tested and found that it works well.

Olorin, shouldn't you custom title be maia, as maia is the singular and maiar the plural?

and finally, I'll have to bring my Civ 3 Conquest copy back out, I haven't really played lately, nor gone to the rest of these forums. As my CT says, I only go to this thread :)

Well it's done. I'm just waiting for Mrtn to get his lazy butt out of bed so I can post the new thread! ;)

Regarding Foresight, I'll reluctantly agree. I didn't want to have too many tech names that are just name repeats of what the tech gives. The government tech name in vanilla civ3, for example. In the case of civ-specific techs, I think the names offer an excellent chance for flavor.

Thus I thought "Lore-mastery" was too similar to the Elvish scholar name, "Lore-master" to add any real flavor. Foresight however, would represent the Elves limited ability to see into the future. But it really wouldn't help a lore-master, as stated above by TLC.

My dirty mind keeps associating Foresight with foreskin.

Sorry, I guess that's not very helpful. I'll feel even more stupid if there's a new LotM thread above this one.

LoL, Mrtn said the same thing regarding foresight.
